ビジャール ミナ・ハニ絨毯 Mina Khani Rug

この絨毯の出所は、James D. Burnsの著書『Antique Rugs of Kurdistan A Historical Legacy of Woven Art』（2002年、番号4）によるものです。これは南クルディスタンのコリヤイ地域で作られた、19世紀中頃のミナ・ハニ格子模様の絨毯の特別な例です。ミナ・ハニは、円形のつるや蔓、他の花々に囲まれたアスターの花の列で構成されており、南部や東部のクルディスタン地域で広く使用され、クルド人の中でも最も人気のある模様の一つです。この絨毯は、リンクされた花の古代のパターンを、典型的な部族的で原始的な手法で表現しており、幅がほぼ同じである3つの細いフレームで囲まれています。この絨毯のデザインは解釈され、柔らかい色が選ばれています。

The source of the rug comes from the book Antique Rugs of Kurdistan A Historical Legacy of Woven Art, James D. Burns, 2002 nr.4. This was an exclusive example of a Mina Khani lattice design mid-19th century rug from Koliya’i, Southern Kurdistan area. The mina khani is composed of a series of rows of aster flowers surrounded by circular tendrils, vines, and other flowers; it’s used in many areas of southern and eastern Kurdistan and is among the most popular of all Kurdish patterns. This is a typically tribal and primitive treatment of an ancient pattern of linked flowers with three narrow borders of roughly equal width. The design of this rug is interpreted and soft colors are chosen for this rug.
